The Wedding of Craig & Gemma at The Assembly Rooms, Newcastle

A sunny day in September saw the wedding of Gemma & Craig at the Assembly Rooms in Newcastle. It was the first time I have shot a wedding here, but hopefully not the last! – a stunning venue with lots of scope for some great photography.

The day started with some unobtrusive shots of Gemma preparing for her day ahead. Just enough to capture those precious moments that can often be forgotten throughout the course of the day – then a quick dash down to the Assembly Rooms to snap the anticipation before catching the wedding cars pulling up. One of the plus points of the Assembly Rooms is the location – it allowed us plenty of time after the wedding breakfast to nip down to the quayside to get some big sunny landscape shots.

Just a well we weren’t in a rush as Gemma managed to get her shoe heel stuck in a gutter on the walk back to my car! As you can see with Craig holding the gutter in his hands while trying to free it. Thankfully Gemma couldn’t help but see the funny side of it and so I couldn’t help but get a sneaky shot of the whole scene! – a shot they actually chose for their wedding album.

They also left a review for me. Quite possibly the longest review I have received – I’m certainly not complaining though!
