The Wedding of Charlotte & Andrew at Horton Grange Country House, Ponteland

Horton Grange Country House hosted the wedding of Charlotte & Andrew on a windy but otherwise warm and sunny day. Although I would describe Horton Grange as a more intimate venue for your wedding -  it still holds up to 100 people for a tradtional wedding do. It’s a great place to shoot a wedding too as the inside of the building is lovely and light and airy – with the building itself surrounded by some really beautiful grounds for photographs. Anyway…..I arrived there before the bride on this occasion – isn’t it meant to be the other way round!? Charlotte & gang got settled in before I started taking some out of the way images of the day starting out (getting ready is a big exciting part of the day too). Have to say Charlottes huge purple & orange hair curlers really looked great and reckon she might have just made hair curlers super cool! Once makeup and hair almost done it’s time to pop downstairs to see Andrew and the guys putting their button hole flowers. A couple of quick final shots of Charlottes dress getting zipped up and its ceremony time! With the day well underway its not long until the speeches hit us and the best man preps himself with a quick swig of wine. Funny, very funny speech! with laughter galore – def one of my fave parts of the day for happy shots crammed full of happy emotion. The day ended of with some relaxed shots of Charlotte & Andrew around the grounds of Horton Grange. Definitely a succesful day and a thouroughly enjoyable wedding to capture.
